The island of Antiparos is located in the heart of the Cyclades, in the South Aegean, 0.8 nautical miles southwest of Paros. Its ferry is 4.8 nautical miles from the main port of Parikia . In the past, Antiparos was united with Paros, while now it is separated from it by the Strait of Antiparos, known as Amfigio , 500-1000 m wide and 4.5 m deep. The maximum length of the island is 7 miles in a direction from north to South, while its maximum width reaches 2.8 miles and the length of its coast 57 km.

In the center of the island, on the outskirts of Mount Antiparos, is the well-known Cave of Antiparos , one of the most beautiful and mysterious caves in the world. The cave area was used as a nature reserve in the Neolithic era and after. The space was also used for ceramics , but also for the worship of the goddess Artemis , while at the entrance to the space was erected the simple and magnificent temple of Ai-Yiannis Spiliotis.

Inscriptions and engravings on its stalactites and stalagmites bear witness to its passers-by, such as the inscription of the Holy Altar, the generals of Alexander the Great and King Otto .

Well-known beaches that became accessible by road with the road construction works carried out are the beach at Livadia, on the western coast, the sandy beach at Soros, Agios Sostis, the beaches of Faneromeni, the beaches at Glyfa, the beach of Panagia (3rd Psaraliki), in Apantima, Ai Giorgi and Despotiko. Excursions to the beach of Despotikos take place every day in the summer with tourist boats, which also go around the island.
